This event was organized for the first time in Albania on the 7th of December. The goal was to keep this old and valuable tradition alive by expressing gratitude to individuals, families and businesses who contribute to improving the quality of life in the Albanian society. The appreciation and stimulation of this activity is important considering the human and economic dimension it represents. In the presence of a large audience of guests, representatives from the business sector, non-for-profit sector, parliamentarians, representatives of diplomatic bodies accredited in Albania, media and donor institutions, were announced the winners for the three categories of Philanthropy Award 2011 and was presented a special award.
