Slovenian Parliament adopted a new Law on the prevention of late payments. As a result of public debate the Law has been amended by changing the ways CSOs are imposed with financial obligations and mandatory costs in situation of set-off, where companies or public institutions are late in paying obligations under contracts to suppliers and contractors, including CSOs. CNVOS intervened on this issue and managed to achieve for the new amendments to be withdrawn. The initiative was successful as the Government adopted the draft law, which was then proposed and adopted in the National Assembly thus re-establishing the previous solution. The obligation of paying does not apply to CSOs with the exception related to their profitable activities. More information are available (in Slovenian) here.
