More than 80 women from 12 local organizations gathered in Struga for the eighth annual Women’s Circles networking meeting, organized by Akcija Zdruzenska with the support of the Delegation of the European Union to North Macedonia, the Embassy of Sweden in Skopje, The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation and filia.die frauenstiftung. The event provided a safe and inclusive space for participants to reflect on stereotypes, challenge social norms and discuss barriers affecting women’s participation and leadership. Through peer learning, dialogue and collective reflection, participants also reviewed progress achieved over the past year and jointly identified priorities for future community action. The annual gathering reinforced mutual accountability among participating organizations by fostering continuous learning, shared ownership of local initiatives and stronger collaboration to advance gender equality, active citizenship and community-led change across North Macedonia.
