This summer, Serbia saw notable philanthropic efforts despite a typically lower donation period. NURDOR’s “Solidarity Bazaar” raised 1.1 million RSD for parent houses supporting children with cancer. Luka Petrović donated 2 million RSD to renovate the home of the Đokić family in Katrga, with additional public contributions. Mateja Patrnogić’s lemonade stand in Kragujevac collected 343,500 RSD for Danijela Cvetković’s cancer treatment, inspiring over 16 million RSD in further donations. In Belgrade, artists raised 379,190 dinars to support striking workers at Jure Leskovac. Lidl Serbia’s “Clean with Love” program removed 90 tons of waste with 4,000 volunteers, recycling 4.5 tons and supporting local environmental efforts. Read more here.
