The guide supports grantmakers at the Open Society Foundations aiming to actively include the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in their grant-making practices. It is drawn from the experiences of Open Society grantmakers, peer funders, and social justice leaders’ scholarship, research, and activism. Further, the guide asks grantmakers to consider adjusting their grant-making practice to support activists fighting for change and open global societies.
