The implementation of the 2030 Agenda has fallen massively behind as a result of insufficient development finance. Furthermore, the slowly subsiding COVID-19 crisis had led to a simultaneous collapse of all sources of finance. This year’s UN High-Level Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) have been dedicated to building back better after the crisis. However, the HLPF was overshadowed by a new wave of crises.
