Since the pandemic, many states used COVID-19 measures to repress civic freedoms, while CSOs have experienced a new scarcity of resources. Bond’s report ‘Solidarity in the Time of Covid-19’ looks at how CSOs have taken the role to help people in need, and fill in the gaps of governments and businesses actions. The pandemic has shown how civil society has functioned to meet fundamental needs, and also help excluded minority groups missed by state support schemes.
