Target group: Young people aged 18-30, particularly those at the beginning of their activist careers who are passionate about LGBTQI rights. IGLYO welcomes underrepresented groups, including young women, trans and non-binary youth, intersex youth, young people with disabilities, racialised youth, Black youth, young people of colour, and young refugees and migrants.
Countries: Open to participants globally, with a particular welcome for applicants from the Global South.
Short Description:
The Global Online Activist Academy is a 3-week online skills-based training programme aimed at young LGBTQI activists. It will equip participants with project management skills for LGBTQI activism, focusing on equity, sustainability, inclusivity, and a queer decolonial perspective. The academy includes expert-led workshops, live sessions, and a real-life skill-based task, fostering international collaboration and building the resilience of young LGBTQI rights defenders.
