Target group: Registered NGOs and academic institutions from the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia). Applicants must form interdisciplinary teams of 4–6 people, combining skills in activism, technology, design, legal affairs, communications, or research. Individual applications are not accepted.

Short Description: The Balkan Civil Society Development Network (BCSDN) is organizing its first Civic Space Hackathon: Innovate for Impact! The event aims to co-create innovative solutions addressing critical threats to civil society in the Western Balkans, including disinformation, smear campaigns, and restricted access to resources. Selected teams will receive expert mentorship, networking opportunities, and full coverage of travel and accommodation expenses.
Duration: The hackathon will take place over two days, while the solution development will take up to 6 months
