Croatia will become in July a full member of the EU, and Croatian citizens will on the 14 of April 2013 be able to directly choose members of the European Parliament. The elected representatives will, regardless of the political affiliation, have a great responsibility to communicate regularly with citizens on its activities and the results achieved, because the European Parliament is central representative body of the European Union. This is the debate that will be the topic of the next Cenzura Plus event is Zagreb.
Given the lack of information and public discussion on the role of the European Parliament, the obligations of the members, accessibility and transparency of Parliament, the role of the national parliament and the EU Parliament decision making processes, representation of political parties and upcoming elections and the importance of citizens participation in the elections, Cenzura Plus will organize a public event in order to provide as much as possible clear information to all interested citizens about the upcoming elections. The debate will be held on the 4 of April in the European House of Zagreb, for more information please contact udruga.cenzura@st.t-com.hr.
