A new civil society-led report sheds light on how the Humanitarian–Development–Peace (HDP) Nexus is being put into practice, four years after the adoption of the OECD/DAC Nexus Recommendation. Produced by the Peace & Security Thematic Working Group of the DAC-CSO Reference Group, the report draws on global survey responses and insights from online consultations with civil society organisations around the world. Despite some progress, the findings reveal persistent challenges in implementing the Nexus approach. These include a continued lack of political will among donors, the marginalization of peacebuilding efforts, and limited access to adequate and flexible funding. It also highlights stories of change and shares practical, field-based examples of how Nexus approaches are being adapted by civil society to meet complex, interlinked crises. Read more here.
