The Steering Committee for Civic Initiatives (GI) has appointed Maja Stojanović as the organizations new Executive Director. Maja Stojanović is a seasoned activist for human rights and joined Civic Initiatives in October, 2010. At Civic Initiatives she first worked as a Program Coordinator for the youth and then as the program director. Civic Initiatives will remain committed to the development and promotion of citizen participation as a key factor in democratization, human rights and the implementation of European values. Its former Director, Dubravka Velat, will stay on as an advisor and will continue to contribute to the development of the organization.
