The European Commission has launched a targeted stakeholder consultation for the Rule of Law report, running until 24 January, with an additional consultation on the single market dimension. The consultation invites contributions from organizations addressing justice systems, corruption, media pluralism, and checks and balances, including European networks, NGOs, national associations (e.g., judges’ and journalists’ groups), and business associations. Its purpose is to gather factual insights on developments in EU Member States and four enlargement countries—Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia—to inform the report. A supplementary focus on single market-related rule of law issues aligns with the Commission’s Political Guidelines. Stakeholders can provide input through an online questionnaire, available in English but accepting submissions in all EU languages. Separate contributions are required for each Member State or enlargement country. Access the consultation platforms online for details.
