EESC CSOs group Society Europe, and CSOs across the EU have issued an open letter urging the European Commission, the European Parliament, and the Belgian presidency of the Council of the European Union to implement an open, transparent, and regular dialogue with CSOs in all policy areas, and as in line with Article 11 of the Treaty on European Union. The letter proposes an inter-institutional agreement on civil dialogue, leadership positions in each institution for relations with civil society, enhanced cooperation, and a European Commission Communication to strengthen civil dialogue at the EU level.
