The SMART Balkans Project organized the first regional conference “Elephants in the Civic Space” in Podgorica Montenegro. Bringing together participants from 6 countries of the region, and people from the civil sector, religious communities, media, academia, and researchers of social processes, the event aimed to open a dialogue on two essential topics: “The role of religion and religious leaders in socio-political movements and decision-making processes in the Western Balkans region” and “Practices and lessons learned on workforce management and human resources in the civil sector.” BCSDN took part in the event in the moderation of the session dedicated to workforce management in civil society, painting the state with the CSOs in the region based on the Monitoring Matrix findings.
