25 virtual meetings promoted by CSOs from all over the world will reflect on the international challenges, commitments and G20’s duties in light of human rights. On 6 October, in the C20 main plenary, the virtual meeting “Civic Space Restrictions in the Era of COVID: Why Is Democracy at Risk?” will be organized, aiming to explore the consequences of these restrictions in our democracies, with BCSDN’s Policy and Advocacy Officer Anja Bosilkova-Antovska participating as a panelist. The meeting, promoted by RACI Argentina, will reflect on the current situation of the enabling environment for CSOs, identify main threats to public participation through examples from different parts of the world, present available monitoring and advocacy tools to foster an open civic space, etc. Read more here.
