The report prepared by Trag Foundation and presented by the Civil Society Resource Center in Serbia identifies the grass-root organizations’ key capacity needs in the early stages of their development. It further provides systematic insight into organizations’ existing knowledge for specific interventions in their organizational development at the Resource Center and recommendations to strengthen the social impact of grassroots organizations in their communities. The analysis concludes that the organizations understand the importance of capacity building and many of them view investing in development as investing in better results. Financial sustainability is recognized as a weak point in terms of their strengths and capacities. Programs and systems, and structures remain unrecognized as priorities. The analysis also states that case trainings were rated as the most useful. Help desk services, on the other hand, are the lowest rated, either because they are less visible or because organizations hardly understand their purpose. Read more here.
