On 10 March 2021, MCIC organized a workshop for the creation of a Code of Ethics for Macedonian CSOs. The event was followed by more than 20 CSOs representatives of the informal platform for transparency and accountability. In the first part of the event, Maria Marinakou, team leader of the Social Modernization Project of the Social Services Platform, emphasized the importance of service quality in providing social services. During the breakout sessions, the representatives discussed the content of the future document on regulating the accountability and transparency of CSOs in the country. They reflected that improved internal operations, imposing good standards, and encouraging continuous improvement of organizations that will increase citizens’ and donors’ trust in CSOs would be the key benefits for organizations from establishing and adopting the Code.
