As an informal network, the National Network Against Homophobia and Transphobia (NNHT) in 2020 participated in a program and received support for improving its internal functioning, transparency, and accountability towards the LGBTI movement and general public. NNHT representatives attended a Transparency and Accountability workshop organized by BCSDN. On that occasion, they were introduced to the Global Standard for CSO Accountability and conducted a self-assessment of the network in compliance with the 12 GS commitments and discovered new areas for improvement, as well as ways to enhance its internal accountability. Advocating for the advancement of LGBTI rights in the country, their main emphasis is around commitment 7 of the Global Standard on Advocating for fundamental change, recalling that their advocacy work has to be based on evidence and informed by the affected people views.
