The Balkan Trust for Democracy is launching a second call for proposals responding to the civil society’s needs and challenges in the Balkans. The call aims to support CSOs working on strengthening the rule of law, freedom of expression, human rights protection, fight against domestic and gender-based violence, building stronger cooperation to reform processes weakened by the economic and social recession caused by the coronavirus. The proposals should adhere to one of the thematic areas: Strengthening Dialogue and Cooperation within the Balkans and between the Balkan region and transatlantic community; Increasing Capacity of Civil Society to Promote Accountable Governance at every level; CSOs and Media Organization Promoting Transparent and Secure Communication. The budget should be 40 -75,000 USD., within the period of up to 12 months. The call is supported by USAID, as a part of the U.S. government’s response to the coronavirus in Europe and Eurasia.
