Accountable Now reflects on the workshop on dynamic accountability, held in September 2020, a part of a course “Living in a Camp,” which to master students on Inter-Cultural Conflict Management provided an insight into the workings of refugee camps. Academics and students are a crucial tenet within dynamic accountability. They are stakeholders engaged with the people CSOs work with. Holding conversations with academics and stakeholders is helpful for the organizations to transform CSO accountability. The students provided new perspectives on the applicability of dynamic accountability in emergency relief, movements such as crowd-sourced fundraising, and effective partnerships on the ground. Some of the essential points discussed are that dynamic accountability cannot be practiced in isolation. There is a need for mutual partnerships and trust among the government, donors, and stakeholders. Read more here.
