During the COVID-19 crisis in 2020, civil society played an essential role in the overall democratic resilience, managing the ongoing challenges at the European, national, regional and local levels. All citizens must be involved in the reconstruction process and the upcoming Conference on the Future of Europe, ensuring that no one is left behind towards a sustainable Europe. The 2021 EESC Civil Society Days, organized entirely online, are intended to bring European citizens, CSOs, and the European institutions to a public forum to discuss the Sustainable Recovery for the Future of Europe’s citizens. Europe must ensure that the ecological and digital transitions are formed on the values of solidarity and human rights, social justice, equality, education, culture, migration, democracy, participation, and entrepreneurship. During the event, eight interactive workshops will be organized on different topics. Read more here.
