The publication reflects on the stakeholders’ ‘accountability role’, which is a part of Agenda 2030, supported by SDG 16, which promotes effective, accountable, and transparent institutions. The publication offers governments, stakeholders, and development partners a tool to examine the quality of stakeholder engagement practices at different stages of the 2030 Agenda cycle against key principles. The tool can also be used by UN agencies in their stakeholder engagement processes. It is designed to improve stakeholder engagement practices, foster dialogue between implementers of practice and stakeholders, and support learning across countries. Read more here.
