In an interview for the Global Standard for CSO Accountability, Julia Sanchez, an ActionAid Secretary-General and CIVICUS Board Chair, reflected on incorporating a justice and gender lens – two of ActionAid’s strategic objectives – into the development work of CSOs. She alludes that gender inequality is the most enduring social injustice. By doing a power analysis and making that link with their core theme or subject, every organization working on other issues as their core mission, incorporating a gender and social inclusion lens, is crucial. She suggests that embracing the justice and gender perspective may help an organization detect the central issue working differently. Read more here.
