In Turkey, the rights to freedom of assembly and association are under constant attack and human rights defenders face increasing pressure. In a three-part series, of which the last report was released on in June 2022, the Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders (a partnership of the International Federation for Human Rights-FIDH and the World Organisation against Torture-OMCT) and their member organization Human Rights Association (İnsan Hakları Derneği, IHD) document and analyze how the government orchestrates the shrinking of civic space in the country.
