Under the title “Barriers to cross-border philanthropy and how to overcome them” within the framework of the European Research Network On Philanthropy Annual Conference, the academic community researching philanthropy discussed the enabling environment for philanthropy. The online conference was an opportunity for academic experts to come together around the issue of the enabling environment for philanthropy, such as legal and fiscal aspects of philanthropy and the potential added value of a European supra-national legal form for foundations.
