The newly launched RESILIO-ACCESS Monitor, an analytical tool designed to measure the resilience of the rule of law in EU accession countries, introduces a new approach to assessing both institutional capacity and the ability of democratic systems to withstand political pressure, democratic backsliding, and autocratisation attempts. By bringing together comparative data and resilience-focused analysis, the Monitor aims to support a deeper understanding of how legal and institutional systems respond to emerging threats and how EU enlargement policy can contribute to strengthening democratic governance and rule of law safeguards across candidate countries. The initiative was developed by the Institute for Democracy “Societas Civilis” – Skopje (IDSCS), in cooperation with the Institut für Europäische Politik (IEP). Read more here.
