The training was delivered by a media expert Kristina Plavsak Krajnc for Center for Information Service, Cooperation and Development of NGOs (CNVOS) from Slovenia. The Novi Sad training was hosted by Ecumenical Humanitarian Organization (EHO) and Tirana training by Diakonia Agapes (DA), both BCSDN members and partners. The training was attended by 33 participants from Albania, BiH, Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia, and Montenegro.
The three day training agenda was divided into three parts. The first day was focused on knowing and understanding the media, working with the media, tolls and techniques of media relations. The second day topics were press conference, and interview with practical exercisein front of a camera. Third day was devoted to strategic, proactive, long-term, qualitative media relations. Participants of the trainings were satisfied with the trainer and training delivery and thought the training was very useful.
To offer further assistance to CSOs in the region in media relations the BCSDN will be publishing “Media Relations – Guide for Civil Society Organizations” by Kristina Plavsak Krajnc. The Guide will be available end of September on the website or in hard copy from the BCSDN Secretariat.
