BCSDN member the Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) has awarded the Democracy Award 2022 to Sebahate Hajdini Beqiri and Lend Mustafa for their contributions to the promotion of democracy and human rights in Kosovo. Sebahate Hajdini Beqiri is a journalist who has been involved in investigative journalism for over a decade, exposing corruption and promoting accountability in Kosovo. Lend Mustafa is a human rights activist and co-founder of the organization “Aktiv,” which works to empower marginalized communities in northern Kosovo. Both awardees were recognized for their courage and commitment to upholding democratic values in Kosovo, particularly during challenging times. The Democracy Award is given annually by KCSF to individuals or organizations that have made significant contributions to strengthening democracy and the rule of law in Kosovo. Read more here.
