The Global Gender Gap Index presents the 17th edition of the annual benchmarking of the current state and evolution of gender parity across four key dimensions (Economic Participation and Opportunity, Educational Attainment, Health and Survival, and Political Empowerment). The analysis yields key findings on the index results in 2023, trend analysis towards parity, and contextual data obtained via new metrics partnerships. Across all subindexes, Europe has the highest gender parity of all regions at 76.3%, with one-third of countries in the region ranking in the top 20. Ten countries show a decline of at least 1 percentage point, with Austria, France, and Bulgaria at the top. Overall, Europe expected to reach gender equality in 67 years. Read more here.
