Although civil society plays a crucial role in the COVID-19 response worldwide, it faces financial and operational difficulties. Many of the CSOs are forced to terminate their operations due to funding collapses. Governments must respond to any new virus waves and achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
