Catalyst Balkans delivered infographics, presenting data for helping prevent the consequences from COVID-19, as well as people’s reactions since the outbreak of the pandemic. In terms of the value of donations, from the beginning of the crisis to 31 May 2021, Catalyst processed data on 5,993 philanthropic instances in the Western Balkans and registered the total amount of 71,803,845 EUR in donations. In all WB countries, most donations are for purchasing consumer goods, such as masks, gloves, and disinfectants. Companies were the largest donors in the region, except in Albania, where citizens contributed the most. In Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, and N. Macedonia, local and national governments received the largest support, while in Croatia and BiH, institutions were the most supported recipients of donations.
