Catalyst Balkans delivered infographics, presenting data to prevent the consequences from COVID-19, as well as people’s reactions since the pandemic’s outbreak. In regard to the value of donations, from the beginning of the crisis to 31 July 2021, Catalyst processed data on 6,057 philanthropic instances in the Western Balkans and registered the total amount of 74,097,787 EUR in donations. Most donations were for purchasing consumer goods in all countries, such as masks, gloves, and disinfectants. Companies were the largest donors in the region, except in Albania, where citizens contributed the most. In Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, and Albania, local and national governments received the largest support, while in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and North Macedonia, institutions were the most supported recipients of donations.
