A new Brussels Liaison Office was inaugurated on 28 August 2025, marking a strategic expansion of FRA’s presence in the EU capital. The office aims to deepen collaboration with EU institutions, Member States’ Permanent Representations, umbrella civil society organisations, and other Brussels-based stakeholders. Its establishment will enable more timely input, stronger stakeholder engagement, and enhanced responsiveness to emerging fundamental rights policy developments. It will serve as a key hub for events, briefings, and networking, affirming FRA’s commitment to placing fundamental rights at the core of EU decision-making. Friso Roscam Abbing, FRA’s Communications Adviser, has been named Head of the Liaison Office, bringing extensive experience in stakeholder relations and institutional cooperation. Read more here.
