Kvinna till Kvinna and its partner organizations have submitted their input to the 2025 EU Enlargement Package, continuing a seven-year effort to produce a gender analysis of the European Commission Country Reports for the Western Balkans. The analysis aims to strengthen gender mainstreaming within the EU accession process. This year’s review shows that more work is needed to integrate gender perspectives across different chapters and to provide clear, actionable recommendations. The organization emphasizes the need for greater clarity and consistency in including and removing official recommendations related to gender equality issues. Through this collective input, Kvinna till Kvinna seeks to provide a shared analysis of political and social developments relevant to the EU accession process for each country. Read more here.
