The 2026 edition of Enlargement Days, organised by the European Committee of the Regions, will take place on 2–3 June under the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Bringing together local and regional authorities from the EU and enlargement countries, this year’s discussions will focus on Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) and the role of local actors in countering disinformation linked to EU enlargement processes. Through plenary sessions, workshops, Joint Consultative Committees, and Working Groups, participants will exchange experiences and explore ways to strengthen communication, democratic resilience, and public engagement around enlargement. The event will also provide space for dialogue between institutions, experts, and regional stakeholders on current enlargement developments and challenges across Europe. Find more and register here.
