The Fund Our Futures Campaign was launched in response to rising global anti-LGBTI movements and underfunding of LGBTI rights. In November, nearly 200 donors from public and private sectors gathered in Cape Town, South Africa for the first fundraising summit supporting LGBTI movements. The summit was a key moment for the Global Philanthropy Project (GPP), which helped secure 100 million USD in new funding commitments. These funds will support LGBTI organizations defending against discrimination and advancing rights worldwide. The campaign’s goal is to raise 150 million USD by June 2025 to strengthen movement infrastructure and counter anti-rights forces. Discussions included increasing support for grassroots organizations and the need for long-term investments in LGBTI rights, underscoring the urgency of action in a rapidly shifting geopolitical landscape.
