The Civic Resource Center (CRC), in collaboration with Kobo Inc., recently hosted a vital training session on digital data collection and management, significantly boosting the capacities of civil society organizations across North Macedonia. Representatives from 26 CSOs participated, gaining hands-on experience with KoboToolbox, a powerful open-source tool designed for efficient field data collection, even in offline environments. The training highlighted the advantages of digital methods over traditional manual processes, emphasizing how new technologies enable faster, more accurate information gathering, error reduction, photo uploads, real-time monitoring, and seamless integration with platforms like Excel, Power BI, and GIS. Participants were also introduced to a wealth of supporting resources, including KoboToolbox’s help center, global forum, self-paced learning academy, and a worldwide network of ambassadors, ensuring ongoing support for CSOs adopting these innovative data management solutions.
