On 5th August 2021, the Dynamic Accountability Community of Practice (DACoP) organized a workshop on Rebalancing Power. The aim of the workshop was to identify and reflect concrete steps for creating more equitable and just relationships with collaborators, partners, and participants. Divided into groups, the participants shared experiences on the power they hold to examine how decisions can be made more horizontally, particularly in collaborating with external parties. The participants discussed: how organizations decide who to partner with and determine the nature of the partnership; how are decisions made; which indicators are used for monitoring and evaluating organizations’ activities and partnerships; do communities or partners have a role in deciding which programmes are sustained and which are not, etc. Read more here.
