This document represents the joint effort of organizations and individuals involved in the work of the European Integration Monitoring Initiative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to provide a part of the response to the European Commission Questionnaire for BiH. The document relies on the four-year work of the Initiative, which, through alternative reports from 2013, provides an overview of BiH’s progress on its way to the European Union. While comprehensive responses should be provided by the state, CSOs aimed to provide their own perspective and give answers to issues that concern, above all, democracy, human rights and the rule of law in BiH. The answers are based on the knowledge, analyses and direct experiences of CSOs from the field. The goal is to add to the official responses and contribute to a more precise, balanced and citizen-oriented assessment of issues relevant to BiH’s EU candidacy status.
