The High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) held from 6th- 15th July 2021 concluded with adopting the Ministerial Declaration. The CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness (CPDE) reflects on some of the most important parts of its content. While acknowledging that the Declaration recognizes the significance of addressing the pandemic’s challenges, CPDE alludes that this perception is inconsistent with the expected commitments in responding to the urgent need for free and equitable access to COVID-19 health care services and technologies. CPDE further explains that the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, inadequate responses, and lack of good multi-stakeholder collaboration jeopardize the previous SDGs’ success. Read the complete statement here.
