On November 28 – December 1, 2016, the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation (GPEDC) shall be holding its Second High-Level Meeting (HLM2) in Nairobi, Kenya. With the theme, Towards Inclusive and Accelerated Implementation of the 2030 Agenda, HLM2 will contribute significantly to how Agenda 2030 (Sustainable Development Goals) will be implemented over the next fifteen years. Decisions taken in Nairobi will, therefore, be critical to the future of Development Cooperation. All major stakeholders will be present – Prime ministers and ministers, heads of major international organizations, the private sector, foundations, local government and parliaments and leaders from civil society. The GPEDC is the only global development forum where civil society is present, by right, as a recognized development actor, by CPDE, with an equal voice to all other stakeholders. This is why it is critical that Civil Society participation is maximized. CPDE was allocated 300 delegates attend the HLM2. More information is available here.
