The IJ4EU (Investigative Journalism for Europe) fund published two new calls for cross-border investigative journalism projects in the EU and EU candidate countries. IJ4EU’s Investigation Support scheme provides financial support to new cross-border investigative projects in Europe, including projects that have only recently begun or new phases of existing projects. Projects on all topics will be considered, including, corruption, illicit enrichment and financial crime; security, democracy and human rights; environment and climate change; health, including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. IJ4EU’s Investigation Support scheme will provide grants of between 5,000 and 50,000 EUR to new cross-border investigative projects. The Publication Support scheme provides additional, shorter-term support for completing cross-border investigative projects that are already underway. The Publication Support scheme operates on a rolling basis. Investigations being developed and published in all formats, including print, broadcast, online media, documentary filmmaking, and multi-platform storytelling, will be considered. The maximum grant amount per grant is 10.000 EUR. Read more here.
