The Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL)’s goal is the governments in Serbia, Kosovo, BiH, North Macedonia, Albania, and Montenegro through continued democracy and the rule of law reform processes to show improved respect for human rights. The program will address the following objectives: strengthening CSOs’ abilities to collaborate across borders on key issues related to transparency and accountability that affect the Balkan countries; developing CSOs’ skills and knowledge to utilize international fora as a tool for government accountability; and supporting CSOs to develop and implement campaigns that work with citizens to peacefully pressure their governments for desired democratic, anti-corruption, and the rule of law reforms. The lowest and the maximum limit for the grant is 1,000,000 and 2,550,000 USD, within a period of at least 24 months. Read more here.
