Target Group: Independent fact-checking organizations, small-sized news media outlets, NGOs, universities, research centers, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations based in the EU, EFTA, or the UK.

Aim: To strengthen the European fact-checking ecosystem by supporting timely and in-depth fact-checking projects that counter disinformation, especially during critical events or around key public interest topics such as climate change, immigration, and EU policies.

Eligible Applicants: Legal entities located in the EU, EFTA, and UK employing fact-checkers and adhering to recognized ethical and professional standards (e.g. IFCN Code of Principles, national journalistic codes of ethics, European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity).

Grant Amount: Up to €55,000 per project (total available funding: €217,500)

Duration: Up to 6 months
