The 2025 EU Award for Investigative Journalism is now open for submissions. This prestigious annual award recognises outstanding investigative stories published in the previous calendar year. Eligible topics include corruption, organised crime, extremism, foreign influence, human rights violations (including digital rights), and other key issues impacting national and regional discourse.
Target Group: Investigative journalists and teams from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Türkiye.
Aim: To honour top investigative journalism that promotes transparency, accountability, and the public interest.
Award Structure: National Awards Fund – €10,000 per participating country, Regional Awards Fund – €10,000 total
