Short description: Russian aggression against Ukraine has a profound impact on millions of people who are internally displaced or have sought refuge in neighbouring countries. Like their fellow citizens, many Ukrainian scholars are displaced, exiled, and/or disabled to continue their work. The war has also affected the Russian scholars who oppose the aggression and are being targeted by the autocratic regime. In addition, both Ukrainian and Russian scholars currently abroad on temporary academic assignments fear returning to their countries.
