Short Description: The “EU Award for Investigative Journalism 2025” has opened its call for applications, recognizing outstanding achievements in investigative journalism in the Republic of North Macedonia and across the Western Balkans and Turkey. The award aims to acknowledge excellence and increase the visibility of quality investigative stories published in the previous calendar year.
Target Group: All journalists who have published investigative stories during the previous calendar year.
Countries: Western Balkans (Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia) and Turkey.
Award Fund: A total award fund of €10,000 for North Macedonia’s national awards. National and regional awards offer €5,000 for first place, €3,000 for second, and €2,000 for third.
Location: Skopje (announcement location, the award is for stories published in the relevant countries).
Deadline: 16 June 2025, 00:00 (midnight).
