Bosnia and Herzegovina has shown commitment to participating in EU programs, especially the Europe for Citizens program. The Ministry of Justice initiated the accession process to the Citizens, Equality, Rights, and Values (CERV) Program for 2021-2027. The agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EU for participation in the CERV program was signed in Brussels on December 21, 2023. The agreement, which will be applied retroactively from January 1, 2023, allows successful applicants from Bosnia and Herzegovina to receive EU funding for projects published in 2023. This accession is expected to enhance cooperation between the region and the EU, fostering the exchange of experiences, information, and good practices.
