To address the root causes of the common global challenges such as limate change, food insecurity, gender inequality, resource constraints, forced migration, et., in 2015, world leaders adopted the Sustainable Development Goals, a global action plan that aims to reach 17 environmental, social, economic and governance objectives by 2030. 25 September is the second anniversary of this action plan and there is a long way before we turn it into reality, with a lot that has still to be done at European level. To push the European Commission to act and set-up a strategy to implement it, CONCORD Europe and its members are calling European leaders to make that wish come true, by adopting and implementing an overarching strategy to put the EU on the path of sustainable development.
